The government recently confirmed in the parliament about the rollout of stalled dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) from next month.

Lakhs of Central government employees are eagerly waiting for the DA hike as the Narendra Modi led-government has announced an increase in variable dearness allowance (VDA). The dearness hike ranges from Rs 105 to Rs 210 per month. Alongside, the Centre has also given good news on Travelling Allowance as well.

The government has extended the deadlines for submitting Travelling Allowance (TA) claims on retirement from 60 days to 180 days.

However, it may be noted that the deadline for submission of TA claims on tour, transfer and training will remain 60 days. 

 52 lakh central government employees, central government servants (CGS), and more than 65 lakh pensioners who are awaiting a hike in their salary as now only 10 days are left after which they will be receiving the increased Dearness Allowance (DA).

Central government employees are all set to receive Dearness Allowance (DA) benefits approved under the 7th Pay Commission from July 1, 2021.
