पंजाब में किसानों के आंदोलन ने यू-टर्न ले लिया है। सोमवार को ही रेलवे ने यात्री ट्रेनों को पहले की तरह ही चलाने की घोषणा की थी। मंगलवार से चलने वाली ट्रेनों के गंतव्य तक चलाने की तैयारी भी कर ली गई थी। पर एकाएक फिर आंदोलन शुरू हो गया और इस वजह से ट्रेनों का परिचालन प्रभावित हो रहा है। शादियों के सीजन में फिर से रेल गाड़ियों के प्रभावित होने से आम लोगों की परेशानी कुछ ज्यादा ही बढ़ जाएगी।
रेलवे ने 24 नवंबर को चलने वाली कोलकाता-अमृतसर दुर्गियाना एक्सप्रेस को अमृतसर तक चलाने का निर्णय लिया था। देर रात एकाएक निर्णय बदलना पड़ा। अब यह ट्रेन अंबाला तक ही जाएगी। वापसी में 26 नवंबर को अंबाला से कोलकाता लौटेगी। धनबाद से खुलने वाली गंगा-सतलज एक्सप्रेस को फिरोजपुर के बजाय अंबाला तक चलाया जाएगा। वहीं से वापसी भी होगी। इस रूट की दूसरी ट्रेनों के भी प्रभावित होने की सूचना जारी की गई है।
फिर बढ़ी यात्रियों की परेशानी 25 नवंबर से शादियों का सीजन शुरू हो रहा है। दिसंबर के 11-12 तारीख तक हजारों शादियां होंगी। इस दौरान देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों के साथ-साथ हरियाणा-पंजाब में रहने वाले यात्री भी अपने रिश्तेदारों के घर जाएंगे। किसान आंदोलन समाप्त होने से यात्रियों ने चैन की सांस ली थी। अब एक बार फिर आंदोलन शुरू हो जाने से हजारों यात्रियों की परेशानी बढ़ जाएगी।
Farmers in Punjab’s Amritsar continued their protest against the new farm laws, saying that they will not allow the passenger trains to run, even as Western Railway (WR) announced to restore the services of 11 trains, which were either cancelled, short-terminated or short-originated, on Monday.
The Western Railway (WR) on Monday said it restored 11 trains, which were either cancelled, short-terminated or short-originated, due to the farmers’ agitation in Punjab.
According to an official release of the Western Railway, four cancelled trains and seven short-terminated trains have been restored from various days starting Monday.
“Due to the kisan (farmers’) agitation in Punjab, train movement was affected as the tracks were blocked by the agitators. The agitation has been called off and the tracks were cleared on November 23, 2020. Hence, some trains which were cancelled/short-terminated/short-originated have been restored,” Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of the Western Railway, said.
According to the release, Up and Down Bandra Terminus-Jammu Tawi Special train, and Up and Down Dr Ambedkar Nagar-Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra Special train, which remained cancelled, have been restored.
The restored short-terminated or short-originated trains include special trains between Mumbai Central-Amritsar, Bandra Terminus-Amritsar, Bandra Terminus-Amritsar special clone train, and Up and Down Bandra Terminus-Jammu Tawi parcel special train, it said.
The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee said that they will not allow the passenger trains to run.
