BHOPAL: The Government has directed that the state-level posts, which cannot be filled up through Public Service Commission, should be filled up through the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examinations Board, Bhopal. In a circular, the General Administration Department (GAD) has informed all the departments that the Professional Examination Board conducts admission test for various courses in the first half of every year (January to June) and filling up various posts in the second half (July to December).

Various departments send separate demand letters for recruitment on vacant posts to the PEB. Conducting selection exams for limited posts causes difficulty to the PEB.

With a view to expediting recruitment on vacant posts, the State Government has decided to conduct centralised exam for posts of similar nature (which have similar qualifications as per service rules). With this, the Professional Examinations Board will be able to conduct centralised exam for all the concerning departments’ vacant posts of assistant grade-III/other clerk, steno typist, stenographer grade-III, sub-engineer, sub-inspector (Home Department), constable and other posts of equal rank.
