Sub: Compassionate grounds appointment to the candidates having been declared medically unfit due to diabetes.
The matter of appointment of candidates suffering from diabetes on the Railways, through various modes including compassionate grounds has been under review of this Ministry, owing to various court cases related with the issue.
Accordingly, the matter has been considered and it has been decided that such cases may be dealt in term of Board letter No. 2008/H/5/18 dated 08.01.2016
